TaIWANT [Part 1]

Sorry for neglecting this space of mine hahaha rly wonder if anyone still reads it :) time to get my Taiwan blog post up! Wanted to squeeze everything in a post but I don't think I can?  Maybe 3 days per post? Haha we'll see how it goes~

Day 1 // 19.3.15
Was unsure if I was too excited or because I drank beer the previous day hence, being wide awake for the entire night. Literally just laid on my bed and dang, 4:30am, my alarm rang! Washed up, prepared and off we go to catch our 7:30am flight.

^my nails r ready for the getaway too

^hot cuppa hazelnut before flight

The 6 hours flight was a dread.... watched 'Cafe waiting love' to kill time and man, it was the 3rd time that I've watched and I could still tear at the same scene gosh. Love the brunch served too because they were rly yummy!! Especially the potatoes hehe so we arrived at Taoyuan airport in the afternoon and the first place we headed to was the Telecommunications counter to get data plan!! By the time we reached our hotel, it was already in the late noon so we couldn't travel far out of ximending. Hence, we decided to explore Ximending (西门町) , a vibrant place filled with youngsters, tourists, activists etc.

^tried this famous meesua that everyone raves about. It taste normal to me though

We just kept on eating and eating and we headed back to the hotel pretty early cause all of us were worn out by the morning flight so we decided to have an early rest to get recharged for next day's activities!

Day 2 // 20.3.15
The day seemed like it is still night time as the whole room was in a dark even though we woke up at 8am. Could literally continue sleeping if it wasn't for my mum. Itinerary for the day: Shifen (十分) > Jiufen (九份) > Golden Waterfall (黄金瀑布) > Keelung Night Market (基隆廟口夜市)

十分瀑布
^do you see the rainbow WAS SO TOUCHED because that was the first time I saw a rainbow in the 19 years of my life :')

^we rly climbed and walked a lot for this stupid waterfall but ok la worth it!!!

It was really warm in the morning that I was perspiring all the way. It''s like, you feel hot when wearing an outerwear but if you take it off, you feel cold. Dilemma huh but I'm the type of person who can stand hot weather rather than cold so yeah, you'll see me wearing outerwear throughout the day. But at least it got cooler as time gets later.

^at the land of sky lanterns!!

Each color represents a wish so I chose blue + white + purple + pink which stands for Career + Bright future + Study + Happiness

^why my papa looks like a farmer in this outfit?! can't stop laughing at him hahaha

^idky everyone laugh at what I wrote whenever they see this

^felt that it would probably be much prettier if we release during the nighttime

 ^ice-cream popiah DAMN GOOD OMG

^to the land of taro balls!!

^as recommended by our engaged driver

^I didn't rly like octopus but this is sooo delicious that i started eating for the next few days whenever I see the stall in those night markets

Next we headed to Golden Waterfall, which is traditionally known for its gold and copper mines. Btw, we saw a lot of couples taking their wedding pictures over there, I guess its a popular backdrop. And the bride was wearing such a thin clothing when I was already shivering even with an outerwear!??!

Then we left to Keelung for its famous nightmarket. Literally just bought a parka over there because I couldn't take the coldness. It is easily identifiable by the 3 lines of yellow lanterns on each side of the street.

That night I tried 魯肉飯 and I instantly fall in love with it!

Till here. Will be back for Day 3!!! No idea when's the next time but hahahaha keep coming to check ok!! :D
